Day 3 - Play Tara Iti

Today, tour south to Tara Iti by private arrangement through Golf Travel Partners. Golf and accommodation will be paid directly. "To experience Tara Iti Golf Club is to discover golf’s next great oasis. It’s a little-known, mysterious destination, in part because it’s brand new, but also because the club doesn’t spend any money on advertising or marketing".

Stay - Member's Lodge, Tara Iti

Day 4 -  Travel to Taupo

Today you will travel to Taupo, the great inland sea of New Zealand. This beautiful lake is about the size of Singapore! As you travel around the lake, you will find every landscape you can imagine. Snow-blanketed winter ski fields and alpine deserts. Ancient forests alive with birdsong. Trout-filled rivers and the thundering Huka Falls. Steaming geothermal valleys with rejuvenating hot springs. Three towering volcanoes in the awesome and otherworldly landscape of Tongariro National Park.

Stay - Huka Lodge or similar

Day 5 - Play Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary

Wairakei golf course has been skillfully designed to blend with the natural surroundings. Navigate your way through 18 testing holes of exceptional beauty and listen to the cacophony of birdlife, the meandering streams and the delightful waterfalls. Day 6 - Play Kinloch Golf Club

Kinloch Golf Club has more double fairways, posing options and alternate routes, than nearly every other course on the 100 Greatest. Designed by one of the games' best strategic thinkers, Kinloch is New Zealand’s only Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. With panoramic views of New Zealand’s largest fresh-water lake, Lake Taupo and the natural beauty of rugged rural farmland, this world-class championship Par 72 course is a hybrid between a links and a Parkland course.

Stay - Huka Lodge or similar

Day 7 - Travel South

Tour south via a tour of some local exceptional wineries to Cape Kidnappers. The iconic pale cliffs of Cape Kidnappers are viewable from the full length of Marine Parade in Napier, and are especially eye-catching in the late afternoon sun. The cape is home to the largest and most accessible gannet colony in the world, making it an outstanding bird-watching destination.

Stay - The Farm at Cape Kidnappers (Hilltop Suite)

Day 8 - Play Cape Kidnappers

This is a special one. Completed in 2004, this spectacular golf course has been hailed as one of the great modern marvels in golf. Built on a ridge-and-valley landscape and with stunning sea views, Cape Kidnappers Golf Course plays 140 meters above the ocean atop dramatic cliffs. While every hole has a spectacular view of the Bay, some play cautiously alongside deep ravines as others intimidate golfers with deep cliff top bunkers and sheer drops off the very edge of the earth.

Stay - The Farm at Cape Kidnappers (Hilltop Suite)

Day 9 - Play Cape Kidnappers again

Yes, it's worth it!

Stay - The Farm at Cape Kidnappers (Hilltop Suite)

Day 10 - Fly to Queenstown

Queenstown is one of those rare places where it doesn’t matter how old you are or what season it is, you are sure to be enthralled and delighted by the scenic majesty and the vibrancy of this year-round adventure playground. Queenstown is rated as one of the world's top holiday spots and when you come to the region you'll understand why.

Stay - Matakauri Lodge, Suite (or similar)

Day 11 - Play Jack's Point Golf Club

With a backdrop of 2300 vertical meters of the Remarkables mountain range and a stunning view of Lake Panoramas, Jack's Point Golf course is one of the most visually spectacular in the world. Watch out for the 7th hole which plunges steeply downhill to an infinity green that's backed by a drop-off to Lake Wakatipu. The presentation of the course is second to none.

Stay - Matakauri Lodge, Suite (or similar)

Day 12 - Explore the Region

A day of leisure exploring the serene mountain and like-side location of your hotel or go 10 miles into Queenstown for some shopping. You could also do a tour of some of the town's finest wineries and cellar doors in Gibbston and further afield to discover just why Central Otago Pinot Noir is famous on the world stage.

Stay - Matakauri Lodge, Suite (or similar)

Day 13 - Play The Hills Golf Club

Billed as New Zealand's most exclusive golf course, it's no surprise that The Hills Golf Club is owned and run by a jeweller. The former concert violinist, Michael Hill officially opened this golf course to an orchestral fanfare in 2007. The Hills has hosted several NZ PGA and NZ Open tournaments in it’s short history and is the current NZ Open host course along with Millbrook Resort.
